This is my first tattoo, and it’s very meaningful to me. I got the idea from a necklace my sister was wearing, which was a compass, and on the back of it I discovered the quote “There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.” It is now a tattoo that my sister and I share.
Alphonse Mucha, is my greatest inspiration as an artist and an art teacher. I got this tattoo for my 26th birthday and sat through two hours of agony. It was completed in one sitting. My favourite part of this tattoo is the colours. I didn’t want anything bold, and the muted tones add to the nouveau-esque feel I was hoping for.
